Polotmavý (or half-dark) is a Czech style amber lager. I had a chance to spend 3 weeks in Czechia and fell in love with the expression of lager there. For this beer we're creating the same character using 100% Gladfield malt treated to a triple decoction mash, Saaz special hops for bittering, and fermented out with a clean lager strain. Expect some toasty melanoidins and caramel notes from the malt, with a dry finish and a firm bitterness from the Saaz addition.
